Shea Butter Hair Mask Review

I’m back with some amazing products for you all and they are ALL organic! In the coming days I’m going to be reviewing three of my favourite products that I’ve used in the last month, starting with the Shea Butter Hair Mask by Organics by Zara.

WHY THIS?

I've used Shea Butter for a lot of things but never on my hair, I was really intrigued by the idea of this hair mask. My curiosity makes me risky and I’m so glad that I took my chances with this product.

WHAT IS IT?

Its as simple as the name, its an organic hair mask, the base ingredient being Shea Butter, with a combination of argon oil and other essential oils.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

It’s meant to retain and add moisture to your tresses, it also strengthens your hair and give it a soft, luminous texture.

HOW IS IT? (My First Time)

Using the mask for the first time was a challenge, only the application and the washing bit was tough, it was a task to apply it on dry hair (meant to be used

that way). It was hard to spread it around, the mask is thick and sticky but my hair is partially to blame as well. The hair wash was not tough, but to remove the product completely you will need to shampoo your hair two, maybe three times.

SECOND TIME’S A CHARM

(For me at least :P)

I learnt from my mistakes, the next time around here’s what I did, I melted the hair mask until it turned into a thick oil, after that the application was easy - peasy! Used it like any other oil, from roots to the ends, left it for about an hour and shampooed my hair twice.

THE RESULTS???

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! My hair looked like someone had just styled it, it gave me such a moisture boost, which my hair was in dire need of. But mostly, what I LOVED about this product is the bounce it gave me, my hair felt thicker and looked voluminous. Another point worth mentioning is the lasting effect of the product, generally, the results are very short lived but with this, my hair looked freaking gorgeous (if I may say so myself). The volume and shine lasted for days (three days to be precise), which is better than most products.
