Happy New Year folks! Hope you all had a great holiday season, I know I did with taking a long break from work, but I knew the minute I get back to writing, the first product was going to be the Detox Mud Mask by Dirty Works.

WHY?

If you all have read my previous blogs you know that I have dry skin, but, when I travel especially to humid places, my skin becomes greasy and I generally have a break out, due to change of weather, water and everything in between. From the time I’ve bought this mask, It has been a life saviour during vacations.

WHAT DID IT DO?

I bought this mask ONLY because of the packaging to be quite honest, I didn’t even try it for the first couple of weeks, until I had an awful breakout, I don’t remember why but at that time this was the only pack I had so I slabbered it on. Firstly, I loved the cooling effect it had the moment I put it, after I washed my face, I was feeling fresh and clean. No it didn’t make my pimples disappear instantly, but, the next day I woke up to dried acne. I tried this mask again the next day and by the third day my pimples had shrunk and almost disappeared! WOW!!!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

This is a mud mask which basically absorbs grease from your pores and it detoxifies your skin of all toxins. It’s special ingredients are Blueberry and Willow Bark. Blueberry is rich in vitamins and it’s an antioxidant super food which can actually help with damaged skin and it prevents and cures acne to a great extent. Willow Bark is mainly to help with acne and production of new skin cells formation.

DID IT ACTUALLY HELP?

Every time I have used it, it’s been for one of two reasons, travelling to a humid place which would make my skin oily or for acne, and for both these problems it’s done a great job without using any other product.
