Poking small holes in my skin.. yes, that’s my secret.
Poking holes in my skin, yes, its true and I love it! I discovered dermarolling couple of years ago and have been hooked to it ever since. I will explain everything you need to know and why it isn’t as scary as it sounds.
WHAT IS DERMAROLLING?
Rolling microneedles over your skin in order to create tiny punctures, which stimulates skin repair which further leads to creation of new collagen and skin cells. The microneedles range from 0.25mm to 1.5mm.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Apart from making your face look like a baboons backside for about an hour after dermarolling, it does quite a lot. It helps the skin in getting rid of dry, dead skin, it makes the skin extremely absorbent to other treatment products like masks, packs and moisturiser. It generates cell growth which helps in covering up marks, scars. It also makes the skin soft, supple and helps in getting rid of wrinkles and lines.
HOW TO USE IT?
For the face you should use the 0.5mm roller, you need to roll it on your face vertically and horizontally per area. Make sure not to apply too much pressure and do not roll it in odd patterns.
MY ROUTINE!
STEP 1 - I cleanse my face either with a milk cleanser or I just wash my face.
STEP 2 (optional) - I sometimes scrub my face before dermarolling.
STEP 3 - apply a light moisturiser or wet your skin on the face.
STEP 4 - DERMAROLL!!!
STEP 5 - Apply a sheet mask
STEP 6 - Remove, wash and use a toner.
DOES IT WORK?

DOES IT HURT?
The 0.5mm is bare minimum, like a tiny prick, maybe the first time your skin might feel sensitive but you’ll get used to it in no time. It doesn’t hurt, but there is a sensation for sure. Your face will get red and warm due to the blood rush (which is a good thing)
