The title sounds absurd! Serum mask for oily skin?

Garnier Hydra Bomb Mask, this one is for oily skin and combination skin. Although, it is a hydrating Mask, it mattifies your skin. This one has green tea extracts and Hyaluronic Acid Serum.

What all all does this mask help with?

It says it helps with intensely hydrating your skin, it mattifies oily skin and reduces open pores.

My initial thoughts?

Well, I bought it and instantly regretted it. I have extremely dry skin and did NOT need this mask at all. So, I gave two of them to a friend to try and give me her feedback And I tested two because I wanted to see how it worked on my pores.

After I tried it (Dry skin girl)

I was not surprised that it was a greasy mask because it’s dripping in serum, but when I put it on, firstly it dried quicker than other masks. And I could tell instantly that this dries the face. It dried my face, not in a flaky, dirty way, but more of a leaving me with a jelly like soft skin in a non greasy way. After the second try, I can say it does work on your pores very mildly. But, if you make this mask a habit it’ll definitely work on your open pores.

After my friend tried it (Oily skin girl)

She has acne prone oily skin and open pores, she also has sensitive skin, so thank you for trusting me!

How did you like the mask?

“I was surprised at how my skin didnt break out in acne after a couple days which generally happens when I try a new product”

Did you use both the masks?

“Yeah, I used both in a span of 3 days. After trying it twice, I reaaalllyyy loved how the mask helped with sucking out the grease from my face, the oil most certainly was reduced but my face felt soft and hydrated just like the mask promises, although by the end of the day, my Skin was oily again, but I don’t blame the mask, I wasn’t expecting a miracle. However I was amazed at how long it took for my skin to become oily again. Doesn’t generally happen with other products!”

What about the open pores?

“I did see a difference, it was weird because I saw more of a difference on my right cheek and forehead, maybe because the pores were fairly new, I don’t know why actually, but it did help”

Your final thoughts?

“For someone with oily skin like mine, this will really help, but I obviously need to use it more often and not be lazy about taking care of my skin, thank you for introducing this to me! I’m always so scared to try something new on my face. I will be buying more of these for sure.”

Conclusion?

Clearly, it is a helpful mask. And it’s refreshing to to know there is a product out there for oily skin which actually works.

You can buy this mask at your local Health & Glow store, but for some reason when I tried to look for it online, it just was not available anywhere. I thought the product was fake, but when I cross checked with official Garnier website, looks like the ones in the market are not original.
