My Favourite Mascara!

I actually have two, I will compare both in this post and you can decide which one suits your needs.

I have always been a BIG fan of thick, long lashes. I wasn’t born with them, so right from when I could start using makeup, my first love was Mascara! They have been times I haven’t used anything on my face apart from mascara. It opens up your eyes, gives it depth and in my case, my eyes don’t look bald. So, be rest assured I have tried every mascara in the market and for the longest time I have used one that I loved until recently when I discovered The False Lash Superstar by L’oreal.

1. False Lash Superstar - L’oreal

Here’s what I love about it. It comes with a primer, which is a white solution you put on your lashes, leave it on for about 5 seconds and then use the black mascara over it. This gives you length and volume

Drawback

It is not entirely waterproof, which for me is not a bad thing because removing water proof mascaras can cause a lot of damage to your lashes and pull them out. But, for some, they prefer waterproof mascaras. This does not rub off as easily with just a watery eye, but if you get wet in the rain, you are sure to look like a scary monster!

2. The Falsies Volume Express - Maybelline

This was the first Mascara which made it to my favourite list. Because, unlike the other which either give you volume or length, this did both. I really like the wand and it’ flexibility. I liked this better than other brands and better than the other Maybelline Mascaras.

Drawback:

The reason I shifted was because this required at least 3-4 layers to make my lashes look thick. And, I always bought the waterproof mascara because the same thing in non waterproof is bad! It does not have the same density and a drop of water anywhere around the eyes will turn you into a panda.

Maybelline vs Loreal

As you can see in the picture, just one coat of L’oreal is better than 4 coats of Maybelline. The lashes look thicker, fuller, heavier and have a better shape. But if you are not as particular about your lashes as I am, then Maybelline should do the job for you.

PROS:

1. L’oreal requires less effort

2. Eyelashes, look thicker and longer

3. Minimum product does the trick

4. Can be easily removed, does not damage lashes.

5. Gives the lashes a better shape

CONS:

1. More expensive

2. Not waterproof (some people may not prefer this)

* These Mascaras are not perfect, they are right now the best you can find! I’m still in search for the best mascara. When and if I find it, I’ll be sure to update this post.
