Hello everyone and welcome back, I’ve been gone for too long and I’m so excited to be back! During my time off, I experimented with so many new products, you guys have a lot coming your way. But, to start off I wanted to review a product I really fell in love with over the past couple of weeks. So here it is, The Night Repair Lip Balm by The Royal Tresor.

WHY A LIP BALM?

I know it’s such a simple product to review, but that’s exactly why I chose this, in our busy, hectic lives we forget to pay attention to detail, like chapping, dry, pigmented lips! I hate to admit it, but I’m one of those people. While everyone is worrying about their hair, skin and over all health, something as simple as dry lips skips our minds. It could also be because, most of us cover our lips with lipsticks or gloss, so you never really realise how unhealthy your lips are getting.

WHAT ABOUT THE POPULAR LIP BALMS?

Believe me, although it always skips my mind to apply lip balm, I have a dozen of them lying around my house, in my bag and sometimes I find a chapstick even in my pockets. Here’s why applying balm never became habit, firstly, I don’t like pigmented or scented lip balms, skin care should never be scented, if your cream smells like perfume, it’s a big no no! Secondly, the basic ones are too sticky for me to handle or they dry up and barely moisturise the lips, it’s a total waste of my time and patience!

WHY DO YOU LIKE IT?

Alright, this isn‘t a love at first sight kinda story, I got my hands on this completely organic lip balm, which is enriched with vitamins like B6, B12, Vitamin E, Omega 3, 6 & 9, all great, all amazing to read and hear, but I have heard claims like this before regarding skin care products, so to be quite honest I kept it aside in my bag and forgot about it for a week or so, until I cut myself, not my lips but my arm, yep! You read that right. I slashed my skin against a thorn, it was burning and bleeding, I was looking for something to apply on the cut, couldn’t find anything without chemicals except this beautiful organic chapstick, I took some of it and rubbed it on the wound and I kid you not, within an hour or so my wound healed, the cut closed up and the bleeding stopped. That’s when our love story began.. *dramatic AF*

DID YOU FINALLY TRY IT ON YOUR LIPS?

Haha! I did, soon after I slapped on a couple of coats on my lips, it was amazing! Although it’s called Night Repair I use it during the day, evening, night, morning.. it’s on my lips at all times.

WHAT IS SO GREAT ABOUT THIS PRODUCT?

That it’s not a lie, it isn’t a multinational company scamming you with pretty products, I’m all for natural skin care and hair care, so this is a legit product which ACTUALLY works! My favourite part is though, I apply it once and it stays on my lips for minimum 2 hours and my lips stay soft, shiny and cute for hours together, I have eaten meals wearing the lip balm and after stuffing myself the freaking lip balm is STILL on my lips. How? I don’t know! To be honest, I’m sold with this one. It’s going to become a part of my regular routine for sure.
