If you haven’t heard of the 10 step Korean Skin Regime, then well its time to google that right now. When I heard about it, I did all the research and ordered all the products needed for the regime. One of them was a Skin Essence by Missha, The First Treatment Essence. One of the most widely popular products in the skin care routine.

I will put up a blog about the Korean skin regime soon and even let you all in on the best, affordable, alternative products that we can use for Indian skin. But for now, coming back to this skin essence.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Skin Essence is a vital step in the Korean skin care routine, it is applied after the toner. An Essence is basically a light weight serum, it’s not greasy and oily like a serum, because of its light weight texture it is easily absorbed by the skin. This is a product used for hydrating your skin and over time leaves your skin with a dewy/natural glow.

DID THE PRODUCT HELP?

Out of all the products I bought for the Korean Skincare Routine, this one is one of my favourites and a stand alone product. Even if I didn’t follow the complete routine on certain days, I would use this product without fail. It did help, the change in my skin was visible to me and to others, I continue using this product to this day!

HOW DID IT HELP?

For someone with exceptionally dry skin, I have tried every hydrating skin product, this one has done immense justice to its promises. I have used this product for two months continuously, during that time I realised my skin became tight, my open pores diminished, my pigmentation was lightening, I had an even tone finish and a permanent Natural glow. I fell in love with my skin, I had stopped wearing makeup during that time because of how my skin had this natural dewy effect. This is one product I’ve used without any breaks or pauses. It was like magic water for my face.

HOW DID I USE IT?

Apart from it being a part of a 10 step skin care routine (Which i will write about soon) on other days, I would wash my face, use a toner and then use a cotton pad to dab my face with the essence.
